| Some ~ 1000 WebSummit 2014 Exhibitor Sites |
Been working on a bit of a helpful demo for all you attending the WebSummit this year. A one stop shop to quickly look at some 1k exhibitors at the summit. Each site image is a link to their site, you can quickly scroll through and any exhibitor that looks interesting, you can open their site to find out more. In the process I also had the opportunity to learn a bit how to use grids in bootstrap. Although I really wanted to have adaptive number of columns depending on device/screen size, but that will be an exercise for another day. For a novice front end developer, doesn't look all that bad ;)
Then I had to figure out how to progressively fill/load the grid, I figured no one wants to see a page waiting to loading > 1000 images... seem to work reasonably well, a bit of JQuery but mostly just my own hacky JavaScript, if you're interested in how, have a look at the page source.
Oh, btw I have set up this ideas.pagelr.com site to from time to time publish ideas, demos, try out things etc. No landing page yet, but all of that will come...
